The wonders of S.T.E.M. brought vibrantly to life, through the pure awesomeness of power and speed.
S.T.E.M. at Speed was developed to engage and inspire youth in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math fields, bringing the subject matter to life through an interactive and dynamic, summer camp inspired presentation that revolves around a championship winning race team and driver.
Not only do these lessons provide technical teachings in a format kids can grasp and connect with, it also creates an incredibly memorable experience that generates an increased feeling of community and camraderie amongst students.
S.T.E.M. at Speed brings the professional race team to you, allowing the power of physical connection to a S.T.E.M. lesson to create stronger attachments to the concepts discussed and demonstrated, leaving a lasting positive impression on the students.
The lesson is built around topics that specifically tie the race car to the subject matter, driving the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math elements home in an exceptional way.
With flexibility built in to lesson delivery, students are given the opportunity to participate in a full lesson, regardless of available time or group size.

Aerodynamics - Students learn why aerodynamics matter, in every day applications like cars on the street and planes in the sky, to the very specific nature of a motorsports application, including the importance of limiting drag, while generating appropriate downforce.
Power Generation - Students learn how the race car generates power, as compared to other common vehicles they have familiarity with, and how that contributes to extreme performance standards.
Power Application - Students learn how available power is only as good as the methods used to apply it. From everyday vehicles, like bicycles and cars, to the extreme application of racing cars, including the importance of gear ratios, tire pressure and downforce.
Designed to be scaleable for any group size, from the classroom to the gymnasium, our lesson creates an incredibly memorable experience that students will recall with wonder and joy.

"Bringing the STEM at Speed presentation to our OYAP students was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The entire presentation kept students engaged, and it was clear they genuinely enjoyed being part of it. The mini dragster build was a great activity as students were fully involved and excited to see their creations come to life.
Jory did an excellent job connecting with the students. He was incredibly informative, approachable, and always willing to help, making sure everyone felt comfortable and supported throughout the activity. As one student put it simply, “Jory was awesome!”, and I think that really says it all.
Showcasing the dragster was the highlight of the presentation. One student even commented they were “surprised how loud the dragster was”, which really captured the energy.
This was a meaningful and memorable learning opportunity for our students, and I would not hesitate to bring STEM at Speed back again with future classes."
